SanDisk has announced its new Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I Memory Card which utilizes Ultra High Speed (UHS) technology from the newly released SD 3.0 specification. The Extreme Pro SDHC also uses SanDisk’s proprietary Power Core Controller that enables the card to transfer data data rapidly and efficiently. The card comes in the storage capacity of 8GB and 32GB offering a write and read speeds of up to 45MB/sec. The card also adheres to the new UHS Speed Class 1 video class rating, offering 10MB/sec minimum sustained write speed capable of recording HD 1080p videos or even 3D content.
The Extreme Pro SDHC is presently available from the company’s website for a price ranging from $109.99 to $349.99. SanDisk has also its SanDisk Extreme Pro ExpressCard Adapter that was designed specially for high performance SDHC and SDXC UHS-I cards and it is presently available from SanDisk.com for a price of $49.99.
