Panasonic has announced the updated version of its Toughbook CF-19 Notebook that they launched back in 2010. The new Toughbook CF-19mk5 Convertible Laptop is based on the Intel Huron River platform which includes Intel’s 2.5 GHz Core i5-2520M processor from the company’s Sandy Bridge Series. The new model was developed to double the older model’s performance and it boasts a magnesium alloy casing that provides water, dust, vibration and temperature protection. There is still a 10.1-inch LCD display with dual-touch capabilities, Intel HD 3000 graphics, up to 500GB Hard Drive, up to 256GB of Solid Sate Drive Storage and up to 4GB of RAM. Other specifications that are expected to come on the new rugged convertible notebook includes 3G connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and a battery life that offers 9 hours of operation from a single charge. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19mk5 will available on the European market starting this month for the price of 2,950 euros.
