Chinese phone manufacturer, Oppo just announced its new Oppo A5 Smartphone. The phone is the latest addition to the company’s A Series, joining the Oppo A1 and Oppo A3.
The Oppo A5 is expected to go on sale starting on July 13th in China, it was also listed on the company’s official website in India which indicates an imminent launch.
It will be available in Black and Pink in China. The Oppo A5 is expected to be priced at 1,500 Yuan which is approximately $226USD.
Oppo A5 Specifications
Specifications-wise, the Oppo A5 comes equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ FullView display with curved glass. It has a notch at the top of the screen, and a 18:9 aspect ratio.
The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with an Adreno 506 graphics processor. The device gets 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of onboard storage capacity plus a microSD card slot that supports expansion up to 256GB.
On the rear side of the phone there’s dual camera setup which consist of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
There’s a front-facing camera with an 8-megapixel sensor which is ideal for taking selfies. It comes with an AI beauty feature that has the capability to recognize up to 296 facial features.
Oppo A5 Smartphone also comes with other noteworthy specifications. It gets a massive 4,230mAh battery that promises up to 14 hours of video playback, the conventional connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, it runs a custom OS dubbed Color OS 5.1 based off the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
