Onkyo has unveiled its latest Blu-ray Player that is THX certified, it has been dubbed the Onkyo BD-SP809. This new Blu-ray Player comes equipped with Qdeo technology from Marvell which delivers quality images, pristine deinterlacing, noise reduction as well as 1080p upscaling. The BD-SP809 is also 3D-ready as it supports 3D-encoded Blu-ray discs plus it also accepts other media disc such as DVD encoded with popular formats such as DivX HD, MP3, and WMA, it support CD and there is an integrated USB port that gives the option to playback media from USB Flash Drives and other USB storage mediums.
The Onkyo BD-SP809 features two HDMI outputs which allows connectivity with the HDTV at home and to switch between other connected displays plus it also have the option to stream media to DNLA 1.5-certified media server, there is also support for HD Surround Sound from Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential. The Onkyo BD-SP809 is expected to hit shelves on the European market this august for the suggested market price of £499 and will come in the colors of Black and Silver.
