We pretty much had an idea of what to expect from the upcoming flagship, however the specs were leaked by TENAA.
TENAA, China’s wireless regulatory site posted details confirming specifications of the handset. Like most high-end smartphones launched in the past couple months, the OnePlus 6 will feature a “notch”, with the screen wrapping around the cut-out for the camera.
The “notch” on the OnePlus 6 allows the time and notifications to be displayed at the same level as the camera. Many users don’t like the notch, however, OnePlus plans to release software that will hide the notch when watching full screen videos and other content.
OnePlus 6 will come equipped with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution.
It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage. There was also a teaser which hinted the OnePlus 6 as waterproof.
There’s a dual camera setup on the rear pairing a 20-megapixel and a 16-megapixel sensor. OnePlus 6 will feature a 16-megapixel camera on the front of the device.
The phone will come with a 3300mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo right out the package. No pricing details were leaked via TENAA but we did do a previous post about leaked pricing details of the OnePlus 6.
We will have more details on the OnePlus 6 smartphone once its officially launched on May 16th.
