Lenovo just introduced its latest smartphone, the Lenovo Z5 Phone. The new Z5 Phone comes with the “notch” similar to that found on the OnePlus 6 and the iPhone X.
The company stated that the phone would be its latest flagship device. They noted that it would be based on “four technological breakthroughs” and “18 patented technologies,” and it would be the first smartphone with 95 percent screen coverage, including no notch whatsoever.
Lenovo is now being criticized by media outlets that covers technology as they allegedly told a lie when they initially teased images of the handset. Lenovo initially showed a phone without a notch and an edge-to-edge display. The image also showcased a screen that extend to the bottom of the phone.
Now we see what the Lenovo Z5 actually looks like, now lets see what’s under the hood and specifications.
Lenovo Z5 comes equipped with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a native resolution of 1080 x 2246. The phone is being powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with 6GB of RAM and the storage options of 64GB and 128GB.
Unfortunately there are no slot for expansion on the device’s memory, so its internal storage capabilities will have to do. The Z5 also supports dual-SIM cards and an Adreno 509 graphics card.
There’s a dual camera setup on the rear of the device which includes a 16MP and 8MP combination. The rear camera combo comes with features such as phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, face detection, HDR, panorama and touch focus.
There’s an 8MP camera on the front for HD video recording and selfies. Other specifications of the Lenovo Z5 includes active noise cancellation with dedicated microphone, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi direct and hotspot, a non-removable 3,300mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo right out the box.
Lenovo Z5 flagship smartphone is available in three different colors; Black, Aurora and Blue. If you wish to grab the Z5 it will set you back approximately 200 EUR or 1,299 yuan in China.
