HP has announced that they will be launching the TouchPad Tablet on the US Market starting on July 1st, 2011. Only the WiFi-only model will be launched which will be available in the 16GB and 32GB versions. Both versions will feature a 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 1024×768 pixel resolution, it packs the power of a 1.2GHz Snapdragon Processor with Dual-Cores, 1GB of RAM and runs the HP webOS. There are also other specifications including WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, a forward-facing camera with a 1.3-megapixel sensor, a micro-USB port, an accelerometer, a compass, a gyroscope, a light sensor and integrated stereo speakers with Beats Audio technology. The HP TouchPad 16GB version will be going for the price of $500 while the 32GB version goes for the price of $600. Both will be available for shipment on the first day of July but pre-orders begin on June 19.
