Garmin intros its wrist watch GPS devices dubbed the Forerunner 610 that seems to be the successor of the Forerunner 110 GPS Sports Watch. It is Garmin’s new flagship model that comes with a stylish design like a sports watch and a touchscreen display that enables the user to tap or swipe through its interface. It comes with a vibration motor for alerts including heart rate, pace and distance when the tones cannot be heard. It was also altered to be protected against natural elements such as rain, sweat and splashes plus it will also works when the user is wearing running gloves to how responsive the screen is. It also comes with a few fitness features such as the Training Effect capability from Firstbeat, which measures the impact of an activity, Virtual Racer training which turns any workout into a virtual match by letting the user challenge their personal best or they can go up against activities uploaded to Garmin Connect site. Garmin’s Forerunner 610 supports ANT+ wireless technology and works with the included USB stick for wireless upload of training data. It is presently available for the price of $349.99 or get it with a bundle which includes a heart rate monitor for $399.99.
