Dell has announced the coming of two new mobile workstations that are targeted at professionals, they are the Precision M4600 and M6600 Mobile Workstations. Both devices comes with the power of Intel’s new Sandy Bridge mobile processors but for graphics the company turned to both AMD and NVIDIA. The M4600 gets the choice of AMD FirePro M5950, NVIDIA Quadro 1000M and 2000M while the M6600 gets choices of the AMD FirePro M8900, NVIDIA Quadro 3000M, 4000M and the powerful Quadro 5010M Mobile Professional Graphics card that comes with 4GB of GFX memory. Both device meets military standards (MIL-STD 810G certified) with its aluminum and magnesium alloy chassis that will withstand high temperatures, dust, vibration, shock and altitude. They were both designed to meet desktop workstation while on the go, both workstations comes with an increased memory capacity of up to 32GB, up to 750GB of storage with Raid 0/1 support, USB 3.0 connectivity, HDMI and they also boasts multitouch LED-backlit displays with IPS technology. There are also other connectivity options which is extended with Bluetooth 3.0, FireWire, eSATA, DisplayPort and D-Sub. The Dell Precision M4600 gets a 15.6-inch with optional four-finger multi-touch display for drawing, writing, editing and zooming onscreen while the Precision M6600 gets a 17.3-inch display with the same options.
