The new HP Palm Veer Smartphone has finally gotten its official launch date for AT&T, which is on May 15th, 2011. The new 4G Smartphone will debut from AT&T thus giving the networks subscribers the first chance to experience the new HP webOS as well as the new HP webOS apps. The company is say that the Veer is everything 4G supposed to be but in a smaller size, as a reminder the HP Veer is basically the size of the conventional credit card, measuring 3.25-inch in height and a mere 2.15-inch in width. It gets a 2.6-inch multitouch screen with a vibrant 18-bit color, 320×400 resolution, it has a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with extended depth of field, geotagging, and video capture, built-in GPS, a few sensors which includes a ambient light, proximity and accelerometer. Connectivity options includes WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR with A2DP stereo Bluetooth support and a WiFi mobile hotspot function that enables the user to share the device’s 4G connection with up to five devices. There is a 800Mhz Qualcomm MSM7230 Processor running underneath the hood and up to 8GB on onboard storage available. AT&T will be kicking off the HP Veer 4G on May 15th for a price of $99 with a two-year service agreement.
