Android-Powered BlackBerry smartphones to get software update. BlackBerry Update brings new features to a forgotten range of devices.
The Canadian smartphone manufacturer just announced that it will be releasing a software update for its Android smartphones. The update is available for the Android-Powered BlackBerry devices such as the PRIV, DTEK50 and DTEK60 as well as future devices.
BlackBerry’s major update will be available through the Google Play Store. Owners of the above devices can expect an overhaul of the Productivity Tab’s interface, making it much more user-friendly.
Other features includes a new Quick Triage functionality (such as Reply All and Delete) for items in the Hub. A new Quick Actions for entries in Contacts (such as Phone, Text and Email).
Users with a BlackBerry-branded Android phone should receive a notification once the updates are available in Google Play, and should automatically download over WiFi.
