Solar Powered Phone
AU (KDDI) and Sharp has proudly announced what is said to be the world’s first waterproof and solar powered cellphone.

So far no name has been announced so for now we will refer to it as the waterproof solar phone. It is completely powered by solar power via its solar panel embedded in its lid. With just 10 minutes under the sun, the waterproof solar phone will get a minute of talk time and up to 2 hours of standby time.

The Green Phone is scheduled for release in Japan in the month of June.

This also ties right into the whole going green hype which I totally support or i’m trying to at least. saves energy and it’s cute and cool way to go.
