Vivitek has announced its latest 1080p DLP Projector which is based on DLP DarkChip3 and BrilliantColor technologies from Texas Instruments. The Vivitek H5080 DLP Projector offers a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080p along with a 25,000:1 contrast ratio and 1200 lumens brightness. It is a professional-grade projector with the consumer enthusiast in mind, the Vivitek H5080 utilizes the latest advancements in video processing technologies to create remarkable image quality and delivers amazing video processing performance.

The H5080 also has Pixelworks DNX Motion Engine which makes the H5080 create smoother pictures by eliminating blur in fast-moving scenes. The projector design has the lens in a central position, as well as manual vertical/horizontal lens shift for easier alignment with a screen.

There are also specs such as three HDMI v1.3 Ports, VGA, Component, S-Video, Composite and RS-232c for one-touch automation and 12-volt trigger for simple screen/projector automation functionality. The Vivitek H5080 will be available in October 2009 for an MSRP of $2,999.
