ViewSonic has launched its new VPD400 MovieBook 720p Media Player in the United States. The VPD400 MovieBook supports playback of a variety of media format, it has a 4.3-inch display with 800×480 resolution and specs such as a 300cd/m2 brightness and a 400:1 contrast ratio.

The ViewSonic MovieBook also offers a 12 hours battery life for audio and 3 hours for 720p HD video playback. There is 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for expansion on your memory. Media Formats supported includes AVI, RM/RMVB, FLV, MP4, MOV, PMP, MPG, VOD, DAT, H.264, H.263 (Video Files), MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE, OGG (Audio Files) and JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF Image files.

The ViewSonic VPD400 MovieBook is available in the colors of black, pink or white for a pre-order price of $119.99 over at Amazon.
