Samsung R1 and R0 Portable Media Players launching in the US soon

Samsung is about to kick off its R1 and R0 Portable Media Players in the United States really soon. Both of these portable media players features Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) 3.0 sound enhancement technology and supports a wide range of media formats, including DivX. The players comes in 8GB and 16GB capacities and all have an April release date.

The Samsung R1 features a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen display with an user-friendly “drag and drop” interface with added features which includes an FM tuner, Bluetooth connectivity and a battery life which offers up to 50 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of video while the Samsung R0 features a 2.6-inch LCD display, a battery life which offers up to 6 hours of video playback. The Samsung R1 is available in the colors of silver and black while the R0 comes in black, silver and pink.

Samsung has added the Go N315 Netbook to its line of Go Netbooks which happens to be the predecessor of the Go N310. The new Samsung N315 is powered by the new Atom PineTrail Platform which includes an Intel N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, integrated GMA 3150 graphics and a 250GB hard drive.

It comes with a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution, it supports WIFi 802.11b/g/n and comes with a 3-in-1 card reader and a webcam. There is also a 1.5Wx2 stereo speakers with SRS sound effect and comes pre-loaded with a news reader application from The New York Times. It is available now via Amazon for $425.99.

Samsung E6 e-Book Reader now available in the US

Samsung America today announced the imminent availability of its first-ever eReader product for the US market. If you don’t remember the device comes with a 6-inch e-ink display at 600 x 800 resolution with 8-Gray scale for easy readability, integrated front speakers, Samsung’s text-to-speech (TTS) technology, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.

There is also 2GB of internal storage for your e-books and can be upgraded to 16GB using a microSD card. The e-book reader supports E-pub, PDF/a, TXT, BMP and JPG files. It utilizes Samsung’s unique EmoLink technology enables users to share content between Samsung eReader devices. In addition, a built-in dedicated program will sync the eReader scheduler with users’ personal PC Outlook.

Samsung unveiled its new LD220Z multitouch Full HD LCD display in Russia. It is a 22-inch display that boast specs that includes a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a 70,000 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time, support for multitouch and Samsung’s MagicBright function that offers seven preset modes: Text, Internet, Sports, Movies, Games, Dynamic Contrast and Custom mode. The Samsung LD220Z has built-in 3W stereo speakers and comes with a “high-precision stylus”.

Samsung R480, the R580 and R780 Series Notebooks

Samsung today unveiled three new notebook PCs to its R series of Notebooks on the US Market. The new Notebooks are the 14-inch R480, 15.6-inch R580 and the 17-inch R780. Firstly, the Samsung R480 features an Intel Core i3-330 processor, integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics card and 4GB of RAM while the R580 gets Intel Core i5-430 CPU, 4GB of memory and a 512MB NVDIA GeForce 310M Graphics Card. Both of these notebooks comes with a 500GB Hard Drive and a Blu-ray Drive.

Like the R580, the Samsung R780 is powered by Core i5-430 processor and 4GB of RAM. There is also a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT330M graphics card and a 17.3-inch 1600×900 LED-backlit display. There is 2Wx2 stereo speakers with SRS 3D Sound Effect and a DVD SuperMulti burner instead of a Blu-ray. All three Samsung notebooks support WiFi 802.11b/g/n and the R780 adds Bluetooth 2.1.

Samsung has rolled out a new Kitchen Gadget in South Korea. This new refrigerator is like no other as it features a 10-inch touchscreen display which can be used as a digital photo frame, WiFi connectivity and is compatible with DLNA devices. Apart from its uses as a digital photo frame, the 10-inch touchscreen display can also be used to take notes, has Google Calendar support, can show current weather conditions, shows more than 500 different kinds of food with their nutritional content and news from the internet.

The Samsung Zipel e-diary is available in cream white pattern and retails for $2170. Along with the Zipel, Samsung also announced the luxurious refrigerator designed by Italian jewelry designer, Massimo Zucchi.

Samsung has unveiled its new C7000 Series Full HD 3D TV in the United States. The series includes the 46-inch UN46C7000 and UN55C7000 with both boasting LED-backlight, Full HD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, Mega Dynamic Contrast ratio and four HDMI input.

Samsung’s UN46C7000 and UN55C7000 both comes in a slim form factor, they are 3D ready and supports Internet@TV. The Samsung UN46C7000 is available right now on Amazon for $2599.99 while the Samsung UN55C7000 goes for $3299.99.

Samsung Wave S8500 Hands-On Video

Samsung released the Samsung Wave S8500 and today I came upon a hands-on video of the handset. The Wave features Samsung’s own Bada OS which is also backed by a TouchWiz 3.0 interface. There is a a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, which is probably Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, a 3.5mm headset jack, DivX player, a 5MP Auto Focus camera with flash and 720p video recording, a 2GB of internal memory, and a MicroSD card slot.
