Pioneer intros BDR-XU02J Portable Blu-ray Disc Writer

Pioneer has introduced its latest portable writer that is being claimed as the world’s smallest and thinnest BDXL writer, it is called the Pioneer BDR-XU02J. This new external Blu-ray writer measures only W133mm x D133mm x H12mm and weighs in at only 245 grams, which means it shouldn’t be a hassle when traveling.

The Pioneer BDR-XU02J features a slot-loading mechanism, it features a USB 2.0 connection interface and provides writing speeds up to 6x for BD-R (SL/DL), 4x for BD-R (TL/QL), 6x for BD-R (LtH) and 2x for BD-RE. The portable Blu-ray writer comes with a silver exterior similar to that of a Mac computer.

Pioneer plans to start shipping the portable Blu-ray writer starting in late December and will go for the price of around 22,000 Yen which is approximately $266.

Pioneer S-MM251 Compact Notebook Speakers

Pioneer plans to launch its new S-MM251 compact USB-powered laptop computer speakers in July. The portable audio speakers comes with a built-in audio DAC, the speaker features a bass-reflex enclosure designed to enhance lower bass frequencies plus it also sports two 1.75-inch aluminum sound drivers to deliver 1.5Wx2 output of power.

The Pioneer S-MM251 comes equipped with a small, softly-rounded design and has integrated blue LED in front of them to indicate a proper connection. The speakers also integrates control buttons such as volume up, volume down, mute and it has a single USB cable for connection and powering the device.

The new Pioneer S-MM251 portable speakers will be available in the colors of black and white and will go for the price of $79.99 per unit.

Pioneer just announced the DJM-850 Performance DJ Mixer aimed at Disc Jockey’s and Music enthusiasts alike. The DJM-850 features the industry’s first BEAR COLOR FX function that changes effects by linking the audio input of each channel. The device also features Sound Color FX, which offers four types of effects: filter, Crush, Noise and Gate, that can be linked to the input sound of each channel.

The Pioneer DJM-850 is compatible with the most popular DJ and Mixing Software such as virtual DJ and others, it is TRAKTOR SCRATCH 2 Certified, offering compatibility to the Scratch Control (DVS) with Native Instrument’s TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2/DUO 2 software.

Other than its Sound Color FX function, there’s also the Beat Effect function that presents 13 different types of effects (Delay, Echo, Up Echo , Spiral, Reverb, Trans, Filter, Flanger, Phaser, Robot, Slip Roll, Roll, and Reverse Roll) that can be combined to produce up to 100 other original effects. Pioneer BDR-XD04 Small and Light Blu-ray Burner

Pioneer has unveiled its new BDR-XD04, which is claimed to be the world’s smallest and lightest portable Blu-ray, DVD and CD burner. The new BDR-XD04 unit supports the writing of BDXL disc formats including BD-R triple layer 100GB media, BD-R quad-layer 128GB media, BD-RE triple-layer 100GB media as well as the original Blu-ray Disc, DVD and CD Media.

Claiming to be the smallest in the industry, the Pioneer BDR-XD04 measures only 5.2” (W) X .55” (H) X 5.2” (D) and weighs only 8.46 oz. It is powered by USB with the need for external power adapter, it comes with a manual eject lever that lets the user eject a loaded disc when power to the device is not available and the PowerRead feature that provides a smoother movie playback when a disc has fingerprints or minor scratches on the surface as well as its PureRead2+ that prevents click or pop sounds that normally occurs when there’s minor scratches or fingerprint on the disc.

It also comes with the Auto Quiet mode that minimizes its operating noise based on how it is being used and unfortunately the BDR-XD04 isn’t compatible with USB 3.0, it only uses the USB 2.0 interface. It is equipped with 4MB of buffer memory and bundled with CyberLink Software which allows the user to watch standard Blu-ray disc, 3D Blu-ray, hi-def Blu-ray or standard DVD.

Pioneer’s entry-level HDJ-500T DJ Headphones for Europe and US

Pioneer USA has an entry-level DJ Headphone that it is about to debut on both the US and Europe Markets. The HDJ-500T DJ Headphone, even though it has ‘DJ’ in its name it can actually be used for more than just music purposes. It comes with dual-cords for separate purposes including a 1.2-meter coiled cord that can be extended up to three meters which comes in handy as a DJ and a 1-meter straight cord that enables the user to connect it to their phone for calling purposes. So the user can use the HDJ-500T for DJ as well as answering calls. The headset comes with a phone answer button on it that lets the user answer calls with the touch of the button, there is a rotating arm, a flexible headband design that lets the DJ rotate the right earpiece forwards and backwards by up to 60 degrees while listening to music on the left side. Spec-wise there is a 40mm diameter driver, a 5Hz–28,000Hz frequency range and a copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil. It is expected to hit selected markets in May and will go for a market price of $145.00.

Pioneer Elite LCD HDTV for the US and Canadian Market

Pioneer Electronics has announced its new Elite Line of products which now includes an Elite LCD HDTV Line up. Before the line of products consisted of Speakers, Audio/Video receivers and Blu-ray Disc players. Although the products are released by Pioneer they were actually manufactured by Sharp. The new line of Elite HDTV will be offered on the US and Canadian Market through Pioneer’s authorized Elite dealer network start in the fourth quarter of 2011. No pricing information has been found for the new Pioneer Elite LCD HDTV.

Pioneer CDJ-350-W and DJM-350-W DJ Systems in White

Pioneer has announced its white version of the CDJ-350 digital media players and a DJM-350 2-channel mixer for DJs. The new versions basically carry the same specs as the black versions which was unveiled by the company earlier this year. The new Pioneer’s pearl white DJ system with two CDJ-350-W players is expected to be available with the DJM-350 (one piece) all as one unit in January 2011 for a retail price of $2,445.

Specifications for the CDJ-350-W Multi-media Player includes vibration resistant, it comes with BEAT Display Functions that visually illustrates the beat position of a song, it is compatible with MIDI which allows the device to be used as an audio interface, it is compatible with USB storage device as well as media formats including MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF files from CD-R/RW discs.

The DJM-350-W mixer on the other hand comes with four sound effects along with the newly added Noise and Short Echo, as well as an isolated 3-band equalizer. There are also other specs such as a USB port which allows the user to record mixes to USB Storage Devices.

Pioneer Computers, an Australian Company has unveiled its new DreamBook ePad P10 Android Tablet, its not the first Tablet released by the manufacturer, they recently announced the Dreambook ePad 7-Inch Tablet. The new DreamBook ePad P10 gets a 10.1-inch Multitouch Display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution, it is based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform which promises superb graphics, it is powered by a 1GHz SMP Dual Core Cortex-A9 Processor, 512MB ROM, 512MB RAM and a microSD card slot that support up to 32GB cards for expansion on the device memory.

Pioneer UK has announced that it will now be offering its new KODO XW-NAW1, it is the newest wall-mounted iPhone and iPod Docking Speaker System from company. The XW-NAW1 comes integrated with two-way 30W Stereo Speaker with Neodymium Tweeter Magnets for outstanding sound quality. The Docking Speaker System features a slim and stylish design with blue illuminated touch sensitive controls.

Pioneer has announce another Gadget targeted at DJs, its called the CDJ-850 Digital Media Player. The CDJ-850 comes with enhanced mixing features specially for DJs and excellent audio quality. According to the company, the Pioneer CDJ-850 has a Pro-series design and features a large 206mm jog dial for easy control as well as a rotary selector and browse buttons integrated within the display.

The player supports the playback of MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF digital audio formats and also supports playback from a USB storage device and also from CD-R/RW discs as well. Pioneer has added two new series to its Carrozzeria HDD car navigation systems, the two new series are the Cyber Series and the Easy Navigation Lite Series. Both series will feature three models, the Cyber Series will consist of the AVIC-VH9990 for 325,500 yen, AVIC-ZH9990 for 304,500 yen and the AVIC-H9990 for 189,000 yen. The Cyber 1DIN +1 DIN’s “AVIC-VH9990″ and the 2DIN “AVIC-ZH9990″ both come with 7-inch touchscreen LCD with a 800×480 resolution, they are both DVD navigation system with HDD drive that features a digital terrestrial tuner.

This new space-saving machine features a 22-inch Multitouch LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and packs the power of a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 dual core processor, up to 1TB hard drive or 256GB SSD, NVIDIA ION chipset, an integrated GeForce 9400 graphics card and up to 4GB DDR2 of RAM.

Pioneer announced two new products for those engage in the art of DJ-ing, the CDJ-350 digital media player and the DJM-350 2-channel mixer. They will be released in June 2010 for $850 and $750 respectively.

The CDJ-350 (device on the left and right) is basically a digital music playback that allows users to create DJ performance. It supports playback of MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF files from USB storage devices and CD-R/RW as well as audio CD. The Pioneer DJM-350 (the unit in the middle) is a 2-channel mixer that is capable of direct recording to USB devices. It is equipped with four types of effects, Filter, Crush, Jet and Gate, enabling users to further enhance remixing capabilities. The mixer features also Isolated 3-Band Equalizer, Digital Conversion, MIC/AUX input terminals and Crossfader Curve Adjustment function.
