There are quite a few Tablets available on the market running Google’s Android Platform, with the Matrix One hitting an all time low of only $60 the other day. One of the latest to get added to this group is the A10 Quad-Core tablet from a company called Ampe.

The Ampe A10 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with multi-touch support and a 1280×800 pixel resolution. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz All Winner A10 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and a memory card slot that will support microSD cards up to 32GB.

Other specifications of the tablet includes an integrated 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting with friends and family. It supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, OTG function, an HDMI port, Flash 11.1 support, 1080p Full HD playback and a built-in 8000mAh Li-ion battery for hours of operation. Ampe’s A10 Quad-Core tablet runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS right out the box and will cost you $219.99.

Archos 97 Xenon Android 4.0 Tablet

Archos introduces its new 97 Xenon Tablet which runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The new Archos 97 Xenon tablet comes from the company’s element line and features a 9.7-inch IPS display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a 5-point multitouch.

It measures 9.8-inch x 7.4-inch x 0.45-inch and weighing 1.4 pounds, the tablet is powered by an unspecified 1.4 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM.

Other specifications of the tablet includes 4GB of on-board storage capacity, it supports microSD memory cards up to 32GB and has connectivity options such as 3G, WiFi and GPS navigation. There’s also an integrated battery that delivers up to 8-hour of video playback from a single charge.

One of the big problems that I face in my day to day work is the fact that many people think that I always focus on the latest and most expensive gadgets. However, that is not true, since there are plenty of great little devices that pop up on the market and that still deliver excellent bang for your buck.

Such a device is the Coby Kyros 7-Inch Android 4.0 4 GB 16:9 Capacitive Multi-Touchscreen Widescreen Internet Tablet, one of the best entry-level tablets. If you do not wish to spend a fortune on one of these models, then this one should be on the top of your list. So what does the Coby Kyros 7-Inch Android 4.0 4 GB 16:9 Capacitive Multi-Touchscreen Widescreen Internet Tablet deliver?

The Features:

The Coby Kyros 7-Inch Android 4.0 4 GB 16:9 Capacitive Multi-Touchscreen Widescreen Internet Tablet ships with a 7-inch display that has an 800 x 480 pixel resolution. This might not be as impressive as some of its competitors, but it does make up for that in pricing. Seeing that you can get it for as low as $80 on Amazon, I would consider this a steal. For your money you get a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal storage.

There is also a micro SD card slot for an additional 32 GB of storage and on the connectivity front we get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. One of my favorite features is the presence of a Type C HDMI port that will allow you to stream both 1080p as well as 720p videos to a compatible display. We have a front-facing VGA camera and all of this is running on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. So for this amount of money, the Coby Kyros 7-Inch Android 4.0 4 GB 16:9 Capacitive Multi-Touchscreen Widescreen Internet Tablet is a great purchase.

If your budget is not meant for such “trivial” matters, then the Coby Kyros 7-Inch Android 4.0 4 GB 16:9 Capacitive Multi-Touchscreen Widescreen Internet Tablet could be a good gateway into this small world. You get Tons of goodies right out of the box with this device and for $80 it is a bargain. It might not be as stellar as some of its competitors, but for this price tag it is excellent. Sony Xperia Tablet S with Android 4.0 OS

Sony just debut its new Xperia Tablet S which the company is claiming to be part Android tablet, part mobile computer, and part home entertainment command center. The tablet was unveiled at Sony’s IFA press conference and will be launched really soon with a number of exclusive apps.

It comes equipped with a 9.4-inch HD display with an OptiContrast panel that reflects less light to improve viewing angles, it features a thin aluminum body with splash-proof coating and powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor with three different models, a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB version.

Other specifications includes an 8-Megapixel camera on the rear, a 1 megapixel front-facing camera and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS several exclusive features, including a universal remote app that can control televisions, Blu-Ray players, cable boxes, and more.

The remote app on the tablet can be set to instantly play music in a stereo system or switch to TV with the single press of a button.

Sony plans to start selling the Xperia Tablet S on September 7, all three models will be available instantly with the 16GB model going for $399, the 32GB model going for $499 and the 64GB for $599. Sony will also have accessories available such as several docks, chargers, stands, and covers.

Ematic eGlide 4 Android 4.0 Tablet goes for $79.99

Ematic recently took the wraps off its new eGlide 4 (EGL25BL), an Android 4.0 tablet that comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display and runs the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Google’s Android OS. The new tablet is super affordable with a retail price of only $79.99, that’s a good price of a tablet which such specifications.

For less than $100, the eGlide 4 is powered by a 1GHz processor, it gets 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also comes with a memory card slot that supports cards up to 32GB capacity, it has a mini HDMI output which enables the user stream multimedia content to a much larger screen, plus it can also handle Full HD 1080p video playback.

Unfortunately, the eGlide 4 doesn’t come with any cameras which could be the reason for the affordable pricing but it has other features such as three-axis gyroscope and accelerometer for advanced motion sensing that is ideal for gaming. The tablet also comes with some applications pre-loaded, these applications includes Kobo e-book, Office Suite and Ematic App shop.

The new eGlide 4 Tablet with Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS is now available from online retailers as well as stores that sells electronics such as Walmart.

Lenovo IdeaPad A1107 Android 4.0 Tablet

Lenovo recently announced its new tablet device that runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, it comes equipped with a 7-inch widescreen 2-finger capacitive touchscreen LED display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio, it has a 16GB SSD on-board memory and it also comes with a microSD card slot.

The IdeaPad A1107 is powered by a 1GHz Texas Instruments 3622 Cortex A8 processor along with 512MB RAM. Other specifications of the tablet includes a 0.3-megapixel webcam for Skype video calls, it utilizes Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity and it also supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

The new tablet also comes with a micro USB port and it is now available from retailers nationwide such as Best Buy for the price of $199.99.

Archos G10 XS Android 4.0 Tablet Coming Soon

Archos is still showing off their G10 XS Android 4.0 Tablet which is expected to be revealed in the next coming weeks.

The company recently showed off a press shot of the tablet via their Facebook Page, the tablet was unveiled earlier this year and since then this is the first we have seen a glimpse of the tablet.

According to the company this is what we can expect once the device launches in 3 weeks. Specifications of the G10 XS includes an mini HDMI port, support microSD cards and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Huawei MediaPad 7Lite 7-inch Tablet

Huawei just unveiled its new Tablet, the MediaPad 7Lite that runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The new tablet comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution, there’s a 3.2-Megapixel camera on the rear and a front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera for video calling.

The new MediaPad 7Lite is powered by a Cortex A8 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM which is capable of handling HD 1080p video playback. The tablet is 3G-capable and it supports HSDPA 3.6Mbps / UMTS 3G mobile networks.

It supports Bluetooth 3.0, and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity plus it comes with 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB. The MediaPad 7Lite Tablet is similar to the original MediaPad tablet but it comes with downgraded specifications and offered at a lower price.

Acer Iconia Tab A210 Android 4.0 Tablet Arrives at FCC

Acer’s new Iconia Tab A210 which was first unveiled at the recent Computex exhibition just arrived at the FCC. The tablet comes with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution.

The Iconia Tab A210 is powered by a 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor, it has 1GB of RAM and comes in the options of 16GB or 8GB. There are a few connectivity options such as WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, optional 3G, a microSD card slot, and 1 x USB 2.0 port.

With the tablet being spotted at the FCC means that seeing the tablet on shelves is imminent. Even though we know that this is imminent, no pricing or worldwide availability has been released for the Acer Tablet as yet.

Philips T7 Plus 7-inch Android 4.0 Tablet

Philips just unveiled the new 7-inch Android Tablet namely the T7 Plus which will be released on mass markets in the next couple of weeks. The tablet comes equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 1024×600 resolution and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The tablet is powered by a 1GHz processor, a 512MB RAM and 8GB of storage with a microSD card slot that support cards up to 32GB. There’s a 2-Megapixel camera on the back of the tablet and a front-facing 0.3-Megapixel camera for video calling.

Other specifications of the tablet includes WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and a 4000mAh battery that promises to provide up to eight hours of video and up to 300 hours of standby time.

Panasonic Toughpad A1 and B1 Rugged Business Tablets

A month ago the Panasonic Toughpad A1 was spotted getting the FCC treatment and the company has officially launch the Toughpad A1 and B1 Rugged Tablets at the Business community. Both the Toughpad A1 and B1 are rugged devices aimed a business users, the Toughpad A1 comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display while the Toughpad B1 comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display.

They are both MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certified for ruggedness featuring a sealed all-weathered design. Both device also have a magnesium alloy chassis encased with ABS and elastomer plus they also comes pre-installed with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The A1 is powered by a Marvell 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, it comes equipped with 10.1-inch multitouch display with a 1024×768 resolution, LED backlit and 500-nit brightness, the screen is also daylight-readable. It has a 5-Megapixel camera on the rear with autofocus and LED flash, there’s a 2-Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, it has 16GB of internal storage and a microSD/SDHC card that supports up to 32GB.

It also comes with connectivity options including Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS and optional 4G LTE or WiMAX. There’s a 4590mAh battery pack that promises up to 10 hours of use. The ViewPad E100 is ViewSonic’s latest Android 4.0 Tablet

ViewSonic just unveiled its newest member of the ViewPad line, the E100. This new tablet comes equipped with a 9.7-inch SuperClear IPS touchscreen display with a 1024×768 pixel resolution, it has other features such as a 800:1 contrast ratio and a 420cd/m2 brightness display.

We have never seen the tablet upclose but judging from the press photos, it has an iPad-like design. The tablet runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with ViewScene 3D, ViewSonic’s custom designed user interface which offers special animations and effects plus a custom 3D widget as well.

Other specifications of the tablet includes a 1.3-Megapixel front-facing camera, it has 4GB of internal storage plus it also offers support for microSD/SDHC cards up to 32GB. There’s a mini HDMI port for users to bring HD media content to a big screen, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity as well.

The new ViewPad is expected to hit selected markets soon, markets such as the US where it will be sold at $299 per unit.

Philips plans to launch Android 4.0 Tablet line in China

Philips is preparing to launch its new line of tablets that runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS on the China Market. The new line of tablets are said to be equipped with 7-inch displays and some of the models in the line are also expected to feature MIPS processors rather than ARM or x86 chips.

The upcoming tablets are right on schedule as Google is now starting to take notice of MIPS-based devices, and they have plans to start building better MIPS support into future versions of the Android platform. There’s no certainty that we will see the new Philips tablets in the US right away as the company plans to roll out the new line of products in China at first.

Liliputing reported that the tablets are expected to be launched with support for a range of media codecs including MP4, H.264, and WMV, the models will feature 1024×600 pixel or 800×480 pixel displays along with a 4 to 5 hours battery life.

Polaroid just announced of its intentions to release a new Android tablet that comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen display which is also 3D-ready. The tablet which is presently only known as the Polaroid 10-inch 3D tablet comes with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed, it is powered by a 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A8 Boxchip processor with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.

Archos Child Pad 7-inch Tablet announced

Archos is now targeting the younger generation with the new Child Pad, that was designed specially for kids to help in their learning. The Child Pad is a compact and lightweight tablet, it comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, running on a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Archos Child Pad has kids-friendly features such as 14 friendly category to choose from and access to the Kids App Store with approximately 10,000 apps to choose from. The Children-friendly tablet comes with a variety of colored icons, it has homescreen folders and access to a number of games including Angry Birds, Pig Rush and Flight Frenzy amongst others.

ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Quad-Core Tablet

Asus has introduced an alternative for its customers who wants a quad-core tablet but doesn’t have the budget for the Transformer Prime Tablet, it is the Asus Transformer Pad 300. The Transformer Pad 300 series is a more affordable quad-core tablet, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

The new tablet comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution which is similar to the screen on the Transformer Prime but instead of Super IPS+, the Transformer Pad 300 will only use a standard IPS display. The Pad 300 Tablet will come with 16GB of on-board storage, unlike the Prime that features an aluminum body, the Pad 300 gets a plastic body to lower cost for consumers.

The Asus Transformer Pad 300 will be available later this year, it comes in the color options of red, white and navy with a price tag of $399 plus it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1-inch Tablet

Other than releasing two variants of the Galaxy Tab 2, Samsung decided to add another variant to its Galaxy Note series, other than the 5-inch Galaxy Note Smartphone that was unveiled at the CES 2012, the company just unveiled the Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet at MWC 2012.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet is basically a Note-ized version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, it comes with a 10.1-inch PLS 1280×800 resolution touchscreen display with S Pen stylus and the S Note tool that lets combine notes or sketches together with web content, images and other digital media into your own personalized storyboards. The tablet also comes with pre-installed templates for meeting minutes, recipe, cards, diary, magazine and more.

The Galaxy Note Tablet is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and will be available in three models; 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. All models will feature a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash, Full HD video recording, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting and will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz Interface.

It also comes with Samsung applications such as Samsung Apps, Hubs, and S Pen Experience apps plus Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas photo-editing software. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and they all have a microSD card slot for expansion.

Hyundai A7 Tablet with 7-inch Display for $110

If you are tired of playing Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds on your Android Phone then you might want to try them on a larger display and you can do just that on a tablet for only $110. Introducing the new Hyundai A7, a 7-inch Android 4.0 Tablet that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The tablet may not be as advanced at the new 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 but it is powered by a 1.5GHz Quanzhi A10 ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor, 512MB of RAM and has 8GB of on-board storage plus a microSD card slot for expansion. The Hyundai A7 Tablet is presently available and goes for a mere $110.13 which means its even more affordable than the smartphone you presently own. Hopefully it will also be available on Amazon for the US consumers.

Samsung announces the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) Tablet

Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy Tab 2, the 10.1 variant which comes as apart of Samsung’s first line-up of tablets for 2012. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will be available in two versions; there will be a 7-inch model and the 10.1-inch model now being introduced in this post.

The 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 comes equipped with a WXGA 1280×800 LCD touchscreen display and the 10.1 variant will also be available in a 3G version as well as a WiFi version. The Galaxy Tab 2 was unveiled at the on-going that starts off February 27 until March 1st. Other specifications includes a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, there’s a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera that supports full HD video recordings at 30fps and a front-facing VGA for video calls.

The Tab 2 10.1-inch tablet comes with a wide range of Samsung features such as the Samsung TouchWiz interface, Samsung Hub with Music Hub, Video Hub and Game Hub and Samsung’s AllShare Play feature. The 10.1 Tab 2 comes with a 7000mAh battery, has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, comes with the option of 16GB or 32GB on-board storage plus either can be expanded using its microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB capacity. Eden TAB Android 4.0 7-inch Tablet

Japanese consumers will be getting the chance to own an affordable 7-inch tablet called the Eden TAB that runs the Android 4.0 OS. The company name is unknown to us but the tablet comes equipped with a 7-inch WXGA IPS touchscreen display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution, it is powered by a 1.2GHz S5PC210 dual-core processor by Samsung, 16GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.

The Eden TAB Android 4.0 tablet measures 199mm x 118.8mm × 10.4mm and weighs only 330 grams which means it shouldn’t be a problem to carry around with you. The edenTab has a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, it supports adobe flash player, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR connectivity, GPS navigation and playback HD videos.

It will be available on the Japanese Market in the colors of black, white or pink for the price of 29,800 Yen which is about $374 in US currency.
