Samsung is about to kick off its R1 and R0 Portable Media Players in the United States really soon. Both of these portable media players features Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) 3.0 sound enhancement technology and supports a wide range of media formats, including DivX. The players comes in 8GB and 16GB capacities and all have an April release date.

The Samsung R1 features a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen display with an user-friendly “drag and drop” interface with added features which includes an FM tuner, Bluetooth connectivity and a battery life which offers up to 50 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of video while the Samsung R0 features a 2.6-inch LCD display, a battery life which offers up to 6 hours of video playback. The Samsung R1 is available in the colors of silver and black while the R0 comes in black, silver and pink.

iiView, a Chinese Manufacturer has announced the launching of their new iiView Vpad onto the market. This new tablet MID device features an Intel Atom N270 processor, a 160GB hard drive for storage of your media files, 1GB of RAM and runs the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter as the operating system. This is the basic model which runs for a price of $499.

Users who aren’t satisfied with the specs of the iiView Vpad has the option of purchasing an upgraded version that comes with a 2GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

UMID has announced its newest Mobile Internet Device, the Mbook bz on the Korean Market. The device measures 161mm x 96.5mm x 19.1mm and weighs a mere 366g, it features a 4.8-inch LCD display that offers a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

It packs the power of a 1.2GHz Intel Atom processor, a full QWERTY keyboard, an MP3/video player, a voice recorder, an electronic dictionary, e-mail support, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Windows XP OS. It is presently available through Amazon for $549.00.

iRiver has released another PMP on the US Consumer Electronics Market, it is the iRiver E30 Portable Media Player. It features a 1.8-inch LCD display and is available in two different storage capacities, 4GB and 8GB. The iRiver media player supports the playback of MP3 ,WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC audio files as well as SMV M-JPEG video files.

The iRiver E30 also comes equipped with a FM tuner, voice recording and image viewer. The device is priced at $59.00 for a 4GB unit while the 8GB unit goes for $79.99.

iToos has announced its newest PMP to the consumers in Asia. The new PMP is dubbed itoos M6HD, it features a 4.3-inch LCD display with a 1360×768 resolution. The device supports the playback of AVI, RM/RMVB, VOB and DAT video file formats and MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, FLAC music formats.

It comes is a compact form measuring 104x 77×12mm and has a FM radio integrated, a remote control, 8GB of internal memory, playback of 1080i videos, MicroSD card up to 32G and a HDMI Port. It is available for a price of 399 yuan or US$58.50

Hallods Japan has announced a Portable Media Player called the Hallods F264. It features a 4-inch LCD display with a 480×272 resolution but what makes it interesting is its capability to playback multiple media formats which includes MPEG-4, FLV (H.263 and 264), AVI, RM, RMVB, MOV, VOB, DAT and 3GP for video as well as MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, APE, WAV and OGG for audio. There is also the capability to display PEG, BMP, GIF and TXT files.

The device comes equipped with 8GB of internal memory and can be extended using a miscroSDHC card. Most owners of the Hallods F264 will be wowed by its Radio Recording function, its FM Radio Tuner and not to mention its capability to download and watch video from Youtube on the device using a third party software. The Hallods F264 PMP is now available on the Japanese market at a price of 17000 Yen.

iStation unveiled the Voca Edition of its iStation T3 Portable Media Player in Korea recently. The iStation T3 Voca Edition is an Educational PMP that sports a 4.3-inch touchscreen LCD display and is available in 4GB, 8GB and a 16GB version. The new Portable Media Player (PMP) supports the playback of WMV, MPEG, AVI, DivX and Xvid file formats.

It features specs which includes an integrated FM radio, a built-in audio recording, a TV out and e-book support to help improve the users vocabulary. The educational PMP is available now with price starting at $259 upwards, depending on the storage capacity.

Ramos unveils it new T9 HD Portable Media Player (PMP). This is not the first PMP from the company, if you should search our archive of PMP you will find that Ramos has release a lot including the Ramos T10 and T11. The new Ramos T9 HD Media Player features a 4.3-inch LCD display with a 800×480 resolution, RK28 chipset and support for 720p video playback at 30fps.
