TRENDnet also unveiled its TEW-692GR 450Mbps Dual Band Wireless N Router at the recently held Computex 2011 in Taipei, Taiwan. The TRENDnet TEW-692GR is considered to be the world’s first dual-band wireless router to support 450Mbps which operates on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands at the same time for a 900Mbps of total wireless throughput. It comes with a One touch network connection with Wi-Fi Protected Setup and has four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and supports WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n standards as well. The TEW-692GR also supports an advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology that will reduce wireless dead spots in your home network, it offers Quality of Service (QoS) technology which makes the device ideal for video streams and internet calls and the ability to assign up to four virtual networks on each wireless band and manage access control for IP addresses and other data protocols.
