Sony introduces the Handycam HDR-AX2000 Full HD Camcorder to its consumers. The device comes with 1/3-inch Exmor CMOS Sensors with Exmor derived technology and the capability to record 1920×1080/60i HD video at up to 24Mbps with progressive scan at 1080/24p and 30p.

There is a 3.2-inch LCD display for previewing images and videos, a 29.5mm Wide-Angle to 590mm Telephoto G-Lens with 20x zoom, a 0.45-inch electronic viewfinder, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode and support for Memory Stick PRO Duo and SDHC storage cards. The Sony Handycam HDR-AX2000 will be available in March for $3500.
