Samsung announced the Samsung 8500 Series LED HDTV to the US Market recently. The Samsung 8500 Series comes with a crystal neck swivel stand and is available in 54.6-inch and 45.9-inch screen sizes. The 8500 Series has a screen resolution of 1920×1080p and has features such as Auto Motion Plus 240Hz frame interpolation with separate blur and judder adjustments, 2m response time and a LED-backlight 7,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

The LED HDTV Series also support a wide range of features and connectivity such as Internet@TV Content Service with Yahoo! Widget Engine for accessing web-based content, two USB 2.0 ports, 4 HDMI 1.3 input ports, an Ethernet port and PC input. When it comes to sound quality the Samsung 8500 Series has that too with two integrated speakers accompanied by a woofer which offers SRS TruSurround HD audio.

The 54.6-inch (UN55B8500) and 45.9-inch (UN46B8500) will be available in August 2009 for $4,499.99 and $3,599.99 respectively.
