Plextor recently launched its new PX-B940SA 12x Blue-ray Writer. The PX-B940SA is an internal Burner which writes at 12-speed (BD-R DL/SL), using Serial ATA interface. The PX-B940SA uses the latest Blu-ray technology and offers a 4MB of buffer memory, other than its 12x speed for BD-R DL/SL, it also offers 2x BD-RE, 16x DVD+R/-R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD+/-R DL, 5x DVD-RAM, 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW.

The PX-B940SA can accept both 12cm and 8cm discs. The Plextor PX-B940SA will be available in stores from November 2009.
