Philips unveiled the PET749 Portable DVD Player at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. The new Philips player comes with features such as built-in TV tuner for receiving free-to-air TV then view it on its 7-inch LCD display with 800×480 resolution.

The PET749 supports the playback of MP3 CD and DivX video as well as JPEG images and compatible with DVD, DVD+/-R/RW and VCD, CD, CD-R/RW media. There is a built-in rechargeable battery which offers up to 3 hours of video playback. Expect to see the Philips PET749 Portable DVD Player out by March for a price of $179.99.
