Philips recently unveiled the 40PFL9704 and 46PFL9704 LED Pro HDTV. Both new HDTV features the company’s next generation LED backlight technology (LED Pro), the 40PFL9704 has a 40-inch LED display while the 46PFL9704 has a 46-inch LED display.

The Philips LED Pro Series has specs which includes a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, a 200Hz refresh rate and a 1-ms response time for crystal clear imagery. Both the 40PFL9704 and the 46PFL9704 feature 5 HDMI ports and are up to 50-percent more energy efficient than previous models or the standard LCD panel. These new HDTVs will also feature Philips’ online NetTV service.

Customers in the UK can get ready to pay £1,799 for the 40-inch Philips 40PFL9704 and £2,499 for the 46-inch Philips 46PFL9704.
