Active Media Products (ActiveMP) kicks off the sale of its SaberTooth ZT 1.8-inch Solid State Drive which comes in the 32GB (for $169.95) and 64GB storage capacities (for $289.95) which can be found on Amazon right now. The SaberTooth ZT is made with MLC NAND flash with the 32GB version offering 32MB DRAM cache and the 64GB offering 64MB cache.

The SaberTooth ZT 1.8-inch Solid State Drive is slim at just 5mm thick and rugged enough for industrial applications. It offers sequential read speeds up to 100MB/sec and up to 85MB/sec write speeds, standard PATA / IDE ZIF interface, supports PIO mode 4 and UDMA mode 6 as well as SMART commands and ECC Error Correction.

Dell just released its Precision M4500 Mobile Workstation, although it comes in the form of a notebook, the Precision M4500 features specs way off its looks. It is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation which comes to join the world’s most powerful 17 inch mobile workstation, the Dell Precision M6500.

It features a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display and is powered by Intel’s Core i5 or Core i5 processors up to the Core i7-920XM Quad Core processor Extreme Edition; and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800M or Quadro FX 880M graphics with 1GB video memory. For storage, the M4500 offers an optional SSD MiniCard for additional high-performance data. Samsung R1 and R0 Portable Media Players launching in the US soon

Samsung is about to kick off its R1 and R0 Portable Media Players in the United States really soon. Both of these portable media players features Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) 3.0 sound enhancement technology and supports a wide range of media formats, including DivX. The players comes in 8GB and 16GB capacities and all have an April release date.

The Samsung R1 features a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen display with an user-friendly “drag and drop” interface with added features which includes an FM tuner, Bluetooth connectivity and a battery life which offers up to 50 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of video while the Samsung R0 features a 2.6-inch LCD display, a battery life which offers up to 6 hours of video playback. The Samsung R1 is available in the colors of silver and black while the R0 comes in black, silver and pink.

Dell yesterday updated its Vostro line with four new Notebooks, the Vostro 3300, 3400, 3500, and 3700. The Dell Vostro 3300, Vostro 3400, 3500 come with a 13.3-inch, 14-inch, and 15.6-inch LED backlit display, respectively. All models comes in an aluminum case which is available in three different colors.

These Notebooks boast an Intel Core i3/i5 processor with up to 8GB DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, a 512MB nVidia Geforce 310M graphics, a DVD burner, a 2.0MP webcam, a fingerprint reader and runs the Windows 7 OS. The Vostro 3700 really stands out as it a true desktop replacement notebook with a 17.3-inch display, the high-end version of the Vostro 3700 features Intel’s Core i7 quad-core processor and a 1GB nVidia Geforce GT330M graphics card.
