Nikon has announced its new AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR Lens just after the release of its new digital D3s DSLR Camera which could imply that this would be a great lens for the new Nikon DSLR, unfortunately it was designed to work with DX-format D-SLRs and the Nikon D3s is an FX-format DSLR. The new NIKKOR lens is also designed to take extreme close-up photography, but yet it is perfect for portrait, nature, and general imaging as well.

The AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR Lens features specs such as Nikon’s VR II (Vibration Reduction) Image Stabilization, Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor technology (SWM), Extra Low Dispersion (ED) glass, an Internal Focusing (IF) design, Super Integrated Coating (SIC) and a M/A focus mode switch. It will be available in early December 2009 for $529.95.
