NEC has rolls out the MultiSync EA231WMi which is considered to be the market’s cheapest 1080p IPS display. The NEC MultiSync EA231WMi is a 23-inch 1080p monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the monitor uses a high-end IPS panel which offers a 178 degrees viewing angles and better color reduction. Other specs of the NEC EA231WMi includes a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 3000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, 14ms response time and 270 cd/m2 brightness.

The monitor also boast an “Eco Mode” button which can be preset to either 50 or 75% of the panels brightness for an instant boost in power efficiency, there are four USB 2.0 ports (two rear and two side), DisplayPort, VGA, audio line-in and DVI-D video inputs.

The NEC MultiSync EA231WMi may be more expensive than some 1080p displays but has the lowest price as an IPS displays which is suggested to be $379
