Magellan introduces its RoadMate 1700 GPS Navigational Device. The new RoadMate 1700 GPS device sports a 7-inch WVGA touchscreen display and is pre-loaded with 50 United States, Canada and Puerto Rico maps.

Notable features of the RoadMate 1700 includes spoken street name guidance, highway lane assistance, an AAA TourBook guide and multi-destination routing with route optimization. It has a mini USB 2.0 port, video-In jack for connecting an iPod or any other video source and a microSD card slot. The Magellan RoadMate 1700 is presently available for a price of $299.
