Lime Jamaica launches Lime 3G Network

Lime Jamaica formerly known as Cable and Wireless Jamaica recently announced the launch of their 3G network to the consumers on the Island. According to Lime Jamaica, the Lime 3G Network is the Island’s fastest 3G network to date, offering speeds of up to 3.2 Mbps.

Because of the new 3G network, Lime customers can now get access to the internet while on the go with Lime 3G Mobile Broadband Internet. Lime now has in stock three new 3G wireless modems which includes the Huawei E166 USB 3G Modem, Sony Ericsson MD300 3G Modem and the Huawei E968 Terminal Fixed Wireless Modem. The company has also rolled out a new set of 3G handsets such as the HTC Touch Diamond, Blackberry Bold 9000 and the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.


Lime Postpaid Service Only

Presently Lime is only offering the Lime 3G Internet service to Postpaid customers unlike their competitor Claro who is offering 3G Internet connection to all postpaid and prepaid customers.
