LaCie has announced an update in its LaCinema Series with its new LaCinema Classic HD Media Player. This is a full HD media player which offers 1080p HD movies playback on your HDTV and has DLNA functionality. The LaCinema HD Player supports media formats which includes DivX, MKV, to AVC and H.264 along with uncompromised Dolby Digital quality sound.

Its UPnP/DLNA capabilities ensures that the LaCinema Classic HD works with your home network and connects easily to your PC or network storage such as LaCie Network Space. The LaCinema Classic HD also has the capability to stream content to DLNA-compatible media player such as your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Connectivity ports on the LaCinema Classic HD Media Player Connectivity includes a 10/100 Ethernet, HDMI 1.3 Output, Composite audio/video and several USB 2.0 ports. It is compatible wit both Mac and PC and will be price at $249.99 for the 1TB Model.
