Hitachi unveiled a new range of SimpleTech External Desktop Hard Drives which is available in up to 2TB Storage Capacities. The new Hitachi SimpleTech Drives also comes with its Fabrik backup software that automatically copies over selected files from the host PC and includes 2GB of free online backup.

The new Hard Drive also features a Turbo USB 2.0 interface which is 25 percent faster than the traditional. The new Hitachi SimpleDrive comes in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, each priced at $100, $130 and $250, respectively.
