Sony BRAVIA BX30H and BX300 Series HDTVs

Sony has announced the BRAVIA BX30H series in Japan and the BRAVIA BX300 series for the US market. All the models in the BRAVIA BX30H series comes with a 500GB internal hard drive for video recording and integrated TV tuner while the US BX300 comes with a built-in Digital/Analog hybrid tuner.

The Sony BRAVIA BX30H comes in black and white, it is available in 32-inch (KDL-32BX30H), 26-inch (KDL-26BX30H) and 22-inch (KDL-22BX30H) screen sizes while the BX300 series has the 32-inch KDL-32BX300 and 22-inch KDL-22BX300 models. Both models shares specs including a 1366×768 resolution, CCFL backlight, 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 5.1-channel audio output and HDMI ports.

Microsoft recently unveiled three new high-definition HD webcams to their LifeCam line, they include the LifeCam HD-5000, HD-5001 and HD-6000. All three webcams utilizes Microsoft’s True Color technology that capable to do face tracking. They also comes equipped with a widescreen sensor and auto focus technology which gives the devices the capability to deliver 720p resolution videos.

Now getting up close and person with each device, the HD-6000 has a 360-degree rotation view, a three-foot USB cable connection and a carry case. AT&T is about to roll out the Samsung Sunburst Touch Smartphone to its consumers nationwide. The Samsung Sunburst features a 3-inch resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. It has a widget bar feature allows one-touch access to common phone functions like creating a text message, in addition to direct links to social networking sites. There are also AT&T features which includes AT&T SocialNet, AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Navigator, Motion Detection and Smart Unlock.

Also included are a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, accelerometer sensor, GPS, Bluetooth and microSD slot. The Samsung Sunburst will retail for $39.99 after a 2-year agreement as well as a mail-in rebate.

Virgin Media 3D-ready V HD Box Unveiled

Virgin Media has announced that it’s going to be launching a set-top box, the 3D-reader V HD Box. The The V HD Box has the capability to access the six new HD channels that the broadcaster has announced this year. With the Box users can watch ITV, Eurosport, Discovery, Sci Fi, E4 and Film4 in high definition as soon as they are launched later this year. They also get access to other channels including BBC and Channel 4 HD channels.

The box is 3D-ready, and comes with HDMI, SCART, USB and ethernet ports. It offers PVR functionality, but just has a single tuner. The V HD Box will be available without extra subscription fees, users will only pay £49 for the box, plus installation costs of about £15 if you can put it together yourself, or £35 for an engineer.

It was first showcased at the CES 2010, the App Station sports a unique application called “iLuv App Clock” that transforms it into alarm clock with a large digital display and current weather conditions.

Sony Vaio M Series now Officially Launched

Sony today officially announces its Vaio M Series Netbook which was first mentioned here sometime lastweek. The Vaio M Series gets an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, a 10.1 inch LED display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 5400RPM 250GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM.

The Viao M Series will be bringing its users quality graphics, all courtesies of an integrated Intel GMA 3150 chip. Other notable specs of the series includes a Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity, WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, three USB 2.0 ports, a pair of built in stereo speakers and as we guessed in our previous post, it will be running Windows 7 Starter Edition. The device weighs just about 1.3kg which is contributed by its 6-cell battery, there is no webcam but instead there is a Motion Eye camera embedded in the screen bezel for video chatting. It comes in the colors of black and white for a price of £299 or $450. No pricing information announced for the United States.
