Pioneer Introduces New Home Theater and Music Speakers

Pioneer Electronics has announced its new line of home theater and music speakers that was designed from the ground up by Pioneer USA’s chief speaker engineer, Andrew Jones. Included in the product line up are the SP-BS21-LR, SP-BS41-LR bookshelf, SP-FS51-LR floorstanding and SP-C21 center channel speakers as well as a SW-8 subwoofer. These speakers were engineered to deliver exceptional audio performance whether or not the user is using as a two channel music system or a full 7.1 channel home theater system.

The entire Home Theater and Music Speaker line utilizes radio frequency bonded, curved cabinets which provide not only a distinct cosmetic look but a stiffer and stronger structure, resulting in better sound reproduction through reduced cabinet resonance. The new Pioneer Home Theater and Music Speaker line is available now for suggested retail prices ranging from $79 to $199.

Verizon Launches Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S Smartphone

Verizon Wireless has finally announced its version of the Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone, the Samsung Fascinate which is the fourth Galaxy S Smartphone to be released in the United States following the T-Mobile Vibrant, the AT&T Captivate and the Sprint Epic 4G. Verizon Wireless has started offering the handset online yesterday and will be offering the handset today in retail stores.

Starting today you will be able to walk into a Verizon retail store and purchase the Verizon Galaxy S Smartphone. The Smartphone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5-Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording and autofocus, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. The handset runs the Android 2.1 OS with TouchWiz UI.

The Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S comes with 512MB of RAM and supports microSD memory card up to 16GB. The Samsung Fascinate costs $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract.

Philips BDP9600, BDP8000 and BDP7500MkII 3D Blu-ray Players at the IFA 2010

Philips also announced three new Blu-ray Players that are 3D compatible at the IFA 2010 in Berlin. All three models supports 3D Blu-ray playback and has features such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and 7.1-channel audio output. Firstly the BDP9600 is equipped with Qdeo Video processing, TI Burr-Brown DACs while the BDP8000 and BDP7500MkII get CinemaPerfect HD engine.

The Philips BDP9600, BDP8000 and BDP7500MkII 3D Blu-ray Players also features DLNA Support for video, photo and music streaming, playback of DivX Plus HD. MKV, AAC files and it also integrates Net TV that supports online video stores. The BDP9600, BDP8000 comes with built-in WiFi 802.11n while the BDP7500MkII can get WiFi connectivity via USB dongle.

TomTom Via LIVE GPS Navigation Device

In addition to the TomTom GO LIVE 1000 Series, TomTom also announced its TomTom Via LIVE GPS Device. According to the company, the Via LIVE GPS offers the most accurate traffic information and a more enjoyable driving experience to millions. The TomTom Via LIVE comes with a foldable mount that is integrated into the device, there is also a 180 degree flip screen for easy fixing to any dashboard or windscreen.

The TomTom Via LIVE GPS Navigation Device also comes bundled with a year of free TomTom HD Traffic service. There are other features such as Full Voice Control, IQ Routes, Advanced lane guidance, spoken street names and also hands-free calling. The TomTom Via series will be available in the autumn and also comes without LIVE connectivity.

Samsung N350 LTE-HSPA+ Dual-mode Netbook

Samsung has introduced its new N350 LTE-HSPA+ Dual-mode Netbook at the IFA 2010 in Berlin. It is the world’s first LTE-HSPA+ dual-mode embedded netbook, it features built-in LTE support, HSPA+ support which both allows the users to use both 3G and 4G networks on the Samsung N350.

The Samsung N350 is powered by an Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, a 250GB hard drive, integrated graphics and 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The Netbook features a 10.1-inch LCD display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution with matt surface and other specifications including Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11n connectivity, it is expected to be released in Germany this autumn for Euro 429.

TomTom GO LIVE 1000 Series High-End GPS Devices

TomTom has announced its new high-end GO LIVE 1000 Series High-End GPS Devices. There series comprises of two models, the GO LIVE 1000 and GO LIVE 1005. Both devices comes with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen for easy navigation and offers HD Traffic information, they feature the LIVE Services, including Speed Cameras, Local Search with Google and TomTom Weather. The GO LIVE 1000 is TomTom’s first device range to feature the capacitive Fluid Touch screen which lets drivers pinch to zoom in and out of maps, or scroll through menus with the tips of their fingers.

They also comes pre-loaded with maps of 45 countries in Europe, offering IQ Routes and the most accurate traffic information available, to outsmart the jams and always arrive on time and stress free. The GO LIVE 1000 will be released in September for GBP249.99 for UK/Ireland version or GBP279.99 for Europe version. GO LIVE 1005 Europe costs GBP299.99.

ViewSonic has announced its newest device for the Chinese Market, that doubles as a e-Book and a Portable Media Player. The ViewSonic MB-P702 features a 7-inch touchscreen display that offers a 800×480 resolution and support 1080p HD Playback.

With its e-book feature there is the capabilty of viewing e-books with the following formats; PDF, TXT, EPUB, CHM, HTML, PDB and UMD document files on the other hand as a PMP it supports RM/RMVB, AVI, MOV, WMV, MKV, VOB video, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC audio as well as JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF images.

The ViewSonic MB-P702 also offers HDMI output which makes it ideal for customers who wants to view content on a much bigger screen, and it accepts microSD card as expansion on its internal storage.

Philips Fidelio DS8550 iPad Speaker Dock

Philips has announced at the IFA 2010, its new Fidelio DS8550. It is a Speaker Dock that was designed for the Apple iPad Tablet. Other than being iPad compatible, it also supports the docking of all iPhone models and most iPod models as well. The Fidelio DS8550 supports Bluetooth Connectivity for wireless streaming, there is a Bass Reflex Speaker system with 15Wx2 output power, and its all rapped up in a SoundCurve design.

Philips has also developed the Fidelio app that allows for easy browsing and playing of your music collection, control of your 5-band equalizer, and a quick-check of your docking speaker’s battery life from your Apple device.

Toshiba REGZA SL738 Series Small Screen LED TVs

In addition to its 42-inch 42SL738, Toshiba also introduced the REGZA SL738 which are available in smaller screen size, the series comprises of the 19-inch 19SL738, 22-inch 22SL738, 26-inch 26SL738 and 32-inch 32SL738. They all offers a 1366×768 HD resolution, a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Active Vision LCD picture processing, built-in HD tuner, LED edge backlight and a USB Port for playing media from an external source.

The new models in the REGZA SL738 Series is expected to be released in October.
