There is word out that Google [GOOG] has just unveiled details of a new TV which is a search based service to be powered by Google’s Android platform. Details of the new television was revealed which tells us that the device will feature a built in computer that uses Intel chips and runs Google’s Android OS.

It seems like Google are close to releasing developer tools for Google TV, which would allow developers to create application to run on Google TV in a similar way that they create them for the Android mobile phone platform and also the iPhone platform. We have seen TVs offering YouTube, TVs running Skype and now we are going to get Android which will definitely open a whole new concept of television as we know it today.

Other than Dell’s release of the G2410H Full HD LCD display, BenQ also announced the G2420HDB Full HD LCD Monitor. Like the Dell G2410H, the G2420HDB is a 24-inch LCD display which is supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and provides 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and 170/160 degrees viewing angle. There are also other specs including Senseye+Photo Technology, HDCP Support, AMA Technology and supports up to 17 languages.

The BenQ G2420HDB was launched on the European Market recently and is available in a glossy black finish. The G2420HDB is available in Europe for 143 euros which is approximately $196 US.

Dell has announced a new LCD display to its consumers, the Dell G2410H Full HD LCD display. It is a 24-inch monitor which features 1920×1080p Full HD resolution, WLED backlit, 1000:1 typical contrast ratio, up to 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness and 5ms response time.

Dell also added a height adjustable stand which makes it possible to tilt and swivel the LCD Monitor. The display offers VGA and DVI-D with HDCP inputs. The price is $339.

Sceptre, a US-based company has launched the new X270W-1080P Full HD LCD monitor. The Sceptre X270W is a 27-inch which offers a 1920×1080p Full HD resolution, 400cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 native contrast ratio, 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time and 170/160-degree viewing angle.

As for connectivity it offers VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs as well as built-in 3Wx2 stereo speakers. It also offers on screen display controls such as Auto Image Adjust, Contrast/Brightness, Input Select, Audio Adjust, Color Adjust, Information, Manual Image Adjust, Setup Menu and Memory Recall.

AOC has also announced the AOC 2330V+ 23-inch Full HD Monitor. The 23-inch display features 300cd/m2 brightness, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 160/160-degree viewing angle and 5ms response time.

It sports a stylish glossy bezel, making it very attractive. It also features a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution and connectivity ports for D-sub and DVI inputs.

Samsung unveiled its new LD220Z multitouch Full HD LCD display in Russia. It is a 22-inch display that boast specs that includes a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a 70,000 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time, support for multitouch and Samsung’s MagicBright function that offers seven preset modes: Text, Internet, Sports, Movies, Games, Dynamic Contrast and Custom mode. The Samsung LD220Z has built-in 3W stereo speakers and comes with a “high-precision stylus”.

After the Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet, the company is unveiling another device, the Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display which is targeted at professional photographers, designers, artists and animators. It is a 21.3-inch color-accurate LCD display which offers a 1600×900 resolution pixel resolution and 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The Cintiq 21UX comes with a stand that allows the display to be reclined at any angle between 10 degrees and 65 degrees to match the users ideal working posture and rotated up to 80 degrees. It features Tip Sensor technology, offering users near-zero (one gram) starting pressure; two user-defined, four-function Touch Strip Toggle buttons which control the function of their associated Touch Strip, located on the back of the bezel; and eight customizable, application-specific ExpressKey located on each side of the display’s bezel. The device also comes pre-loaded with a few softwares including Coreal Painter Sketch PAd, Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 WE6 and Wacom Brushes 3.0 software.

The Wacom Cintiq 21UX is scheduled for release in late March or early April and the price is $1999.

LG is about to launch the world’s biggest OLED TV in Europe this May. The new LG 15EL9500 OLED comes with a 15-inch Display which offers a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 0.001ms response time.

It is fairly thin as it only 3mm thick, it is HD Ready with a 1366×768 Pixel resolution. It will be out in Austria first then make its way over to the US by the end of Summer. It is priced at 1999 euros, not sure if it will be more or less expensive when it launches in the US.
