LifeBook P8010, an ultra portable notebook PC annouced by Fujitsu recently. The LifeBook features a Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM, 12.1-inch LED widescreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 80Gb Hard Drive. It will be available for purchase in February.

Acer will start offering 700 units of the Ferrari 1005 notebook in Japan. The 1005 has a 12.1-inch LCD display, 5-in-1 card reader, AMD Turion 64×2 TL60 2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB of RAM), ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphic card,160GB hard drive and Windows Vista® Home Premium OS.

There is an ultrathin MacBook in town, Intel you have some real competition. Apple unveiled the MacBook Air yesterday January 15th, “We’ve built the world’s thinnest notebook—without sacrificing a full-size keyboard or a full-size 13-inch display,” said Steve Jobs, apple’s CEO. Notebook PC disk storage leaps into the stratosphere yesterday, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies announced a 500GB 2.5-inch mobile hard drive. Due out in February, 2008 and is expected to go for a price of $400.

Asus ships 350,000 Asus Eee PC

Asus has apparently already shipped 350,000 Asus Eee PCs, exceeding the company’s estimates by 50,000 units.

Asus really uses its first mover advantage very well. Also interesting is the fact that this means 350,000 Linux end user computers are going to be in customer’s hands. This really starts to be a big issue for Microsoft to battle those low-cost Linux notebooks and PCs in 2008.
