Mio launched its S400 Portable GPS Device in South Korea. The Mio S400 features a SiRF III GPS receiver, 2Gb of Internal memory and the option to extend its using the microSD slot which supports up to 16GB.

The device features a 4.3-inch LCD display, weighs 147.5g and 18mm thick. It comes in a black finish and is priced at 139,000 Korean Won.

teXet TN-700 GPS Navigation Device launched in Russia

teXet TN-700 GPS Navigation
teXet, a Russian firm has recently launched its new TN-700 GPS Navigation device. The device comes boasting a 5-inch touchscreen display which offers a 480×272 pixel resolution and is powered by a 468MHz ARM11 processor, 64MB SDRAM, a 32MB Flash ROM, 2GB of internal storage and support for microSD or SDHC cards up to 16GB storage capacity.

Other than its GPS capabilities, the device can also be used as a Portable Media Player (PMP), as it supports playback of audio and video files. It also supports image viewing and reading of e-books. Texet TN-700 GPS Navigation is equipped with Bluetooth with DUN (Dial-up Networking Profile) profile and Hands-Free feature. It makes easily connect to mobile phone and use them as modem (for example, up-to-date traffic jams information) and Texet TN-700 as a loudspeaker system for mobile devices.

It also comes pre-loaded with maps of Russia via either Navitel Navigator 3 or CityGuide 3.7 navigation software

TwoNav has introduced its new Sportiva GPS Device. It is a handheld device which was co-produced with Holux. The Sportiva GPS Device features a 3-inch touchscreen display, a SiRF III GPS receiver, 2GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot.

Users have the option to download free maps from TwoNav which cover Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Austria, Morocco, Sweden, Australia, Tunisia, and the USA. They can even convert their own topographic maps, satellite pictures, raster maps and urban maps using CompeGPS Land software and transfer them to the GPS device. Other specs includes a 3D compass, a barometer and a 1050mAh battery. The TwoNav Sportiva GPS Device will be released in March for 379 euros.

Garmin nuvi 1490TV GPS Device with DVB-T Tuner
Garmin announced the new nuvi 1490TV personal GPS navigation device. It comes with integrated DVB-T digital terrestrial TV, radio tuner and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The device features a 5-inch touchscreen display and with the DVB-T tuner, users can pick up freeview digital TV and radio content from over 14 countries across Europe. With its GPS functions comes a database with over two million Points of Interest (POI’s), safety camera warnings, it is pre-loaded with detailed road maps of Europe, free premium traffic updates, Bluetooth for hands-free calling, built-in speakers and will be available in Europe in early April 2010 for GBP299/Euro 299.

Motorola TN700 and TN500 GPS Navigation System

Motorola unveiled two new GPS Navigational Devices at the CES 2010. The new devices are the Motorola TN700 and the TN500. Both devices are scheduled to be released in the first quarter of this year with no pricing information revealed.

The Motorola TN500 features a 4.3-inch widescreen display along with GPS functions which includes lane guidance, junction views, spoken street names and other basic functions while the Motorola TN700 has a bigger 5.1-inch widescreen display with all the features of the TN500 plus other functions including as 3D landmarks and a real-time traffic information provided through an optional dash cradle.

TomTom EASE entry-level GPS Navigation Device

TomTom EASE entry-level GPS Device
TomTom is also at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and one of the devices unveiled by the company is the TomTom EASE GPS Navigation Device. It is an entry-level GPS device which features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 320×240 pixel resolution.

It comes with pre-loaded with maps of the US from Tele Atlas, Best routing and maps IQ Routes Technology as well. There is also TomTom Map Share feature, an integrated Fold & Go Easy Port Mount which allows the device to be fold flat, there is text-to-speech support and 2GB of flash memory. TomTom EASE will be available in black and white in early 2010.

Garmin announced two new GPS Navigation, the Oregon 450t and Oregon 450. The Oregon 450t comes pre-loaded with 100K topographic maps for the entire United States and 3D elevation perspective covering major trails, urban and rural roads, interstates, highways, coastlines, rivers and lakes as well as national, state and local parks, forests and wilderness areas.

Both GPS Unit features a 3-inch touchscreen display, 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, barometric altimeter, and paperless geocaching. They have 850MB internal memory and a microSD card slot and are able to store up to 2,000 waypoints, 200 routes, 5,000 caches and a tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks.

The Oregon 450t and Oregon 450 are priced at $499.99 and $399.99 respectively.

The Pikavu Express Locator is a GPS tracking device which allows parents and guardians to track their child. The unit comes with a GPS wristwatch and a portable receiver.

The GPS Wrist Watch is worn by the child, it is waterproof and impact resistant and comes with safety lock, so the child can’t remove it, nor other people.
