Panasonic unveiled three new Blu-ray players, the DMP-BD45, DMP-BD65 and DMP-BD85. All three Blu-ray players utilizes the the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus for video processing with the DMP-BD45 being the entry-level model as it is not internet-ready but like the other two models, it has an SD slot for showing images and AVCHD video.

The DMP-BD65 and DMP-BD85 on the other hand features high definition audio decoder for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential and the latter includes also HDMI Jitter Purifier, Digital Tube Sound Simulator and 192kHz-24 bit D/A converter. They also feature a 96kHz surround re-master, VIERA CAST support and a USB por for wireless LAN adapter and media playback.

Pioneer Electronics presents its new BDR-205 12x Blu-ray Disc Writer which is the industry’s first and fastest model to feature up to 12x write speed for a single and dual-layer Blu-ray Disc. The BDR-205 Blu-ray Writer’s Low Vibration Mechanism Design improves overall writing accuracy, especially when preserving copious amounts of critical data.

Other than offering a 12x write speeds for Blu-ray Disc media, the Pioneer BDR-205 also gives a read and write speed performance up to 16x for DVD and 40x for CD. The BDR-205 Blu-ray Disc will begin shipping in October, however the retail version of the writer which is the BDR-2205, will be available Q1 2010 for $249.

Samsung recently announced the SD-P4600 Blu-ray Player which features a unique and ultra slim design. This new Blu-ray player features a built-in streaming service for Netflix movies and Pandora music.

The player was just announced on June 10th but alot of consumers are saying that when they try to stream the Netflix movies all they got were a bunch of error messages. We at Loopy Gadgets have no idea if this a problem with the players or if it is on Netflix’s side, we will keep you posted. The Samsung SD-P4600 Ultra Slim Blu-ray Player is currently available for a retail price of $500.

Yesterday Panasonic launched two new and also the first set of freesat Blu-ray recorder to hit the UK, dubbed the DMR-BS850 and the DMR-BS750. Along with the two new Blu-ray recorders there were also 2 new BD recorders and a HD Recorder launched at the Birmingham NEC.

But we are really focusing on the UK’s first Blu-ray recorders, both recorders comes with the freesat HD feature which gives the device the capability of capturing videos in HD quality. Both device also has a twin tuner feature which makes it possible for you to record two programs at once or watch one program while recording the other.

All recording are then stored on a 500GB hard disk in H.264 format, you can store up to 24 hours of content and then copy it to a Blu-Ray Disc in a high speed copy mode.

Samsung Electronics America, yesterday announced the release of their new HT-AS730 Home Theater System. The HT-AS730 has a sleek and stylish piano black design and consist of a full HD 1080p Blu-ray player, a complete 5.1-channel speaker setup for robust surround sound which can be easily upgraded to a 7.1-channel speaker setup just by adding two additional speakers which are sold separately and a variety of audio and video connections.

The system also features onboard decoding for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-Logic-II, Dolby Pro-Logic-IIx , Digital EX, Discrete 6.1, DTS 96/24 and DTS Neo 6. Logitec has announced their LBT-HS300C2 Bluetooth headset to their Japanese Consumers. The Logitec LBT-HS300C2 features Bluetooth 2.1+EDR with Headset and Hands-free profile. With a full charge you will get 110 hours of standby time and up to 4 hours of continuous talk time.

The headset comes in six colors which includes Black, White, Silver, Gold, Purple and Red. The Logitec site is in full Japanese so I wasn’t able to read it full to know if there is a price for the Headset. Other than the BDV-E300 and the BDV- E500WSony also launched the HT-CT500 home theater system. The HT-CT500 comes with a sound bar and a subwoofer.

This new Home Theater System features a Digital Media Port (DMP) which makes it able to connect external audio sources to the system, there is 3.1 channels, 400 watts (RMS) of power, three HD 1080p HDMI inputs, two component inputs, and other audio inputs.

Sony HT-CT500 Sound Bar home theater system is expected to be out in June and will be retailed for approximately $500.

Sony has recently added two new Profile 2.0 Blu-ray players to their shelves. The Sony BDP-S560 comes with features such as WiFi Connectivity, upscales your DVD collection, bit-streams audio via HDMI, decodes Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD Master Audio, fully DLNA-ready and will support your USB drive for external upload of media.

The Sony BDP-S360 boast the sames specs as the BDP-S560 except for the WiFi Connectivity function. Expect to see the BDP-S560 this summer for about $350 whle the BDP-S360 will be going for approximately $300.
