BamGoo Electric Car
Check out the BamGoo Electric Car which was displayed in Kyoto City, western Japan some weeks ago. The BamGoo Electric car is made from local Bamboo and can only hold one passenger. The BamGoo car weighs 1300 pounds and will only run for approximately 30 miles on a full charge.

The concept and development was done by researchers of the Kyoto University. The BamGoo is only a concept from the Kyoto University so don’t expect to see it in any showroom anywhere. Although I don’t think they would sell 10 units good he he he!

While not exactly a workable vehicle, this is the sort of thing that increases awareness and interest in electric vehicles so all in all a worthy experiment.
