AMD announced the new ATI Radeon HD 5970 Graphics Card which is according to the company the fastest graphics card in the world so far. The Radeon HD 5970’s engine runs at 725MHz clock speed and it has a memory clock speed at 1GHz, it is also the only graphics cards to fully support Microsoft DirectX® 11 technology and ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology.

It provides a max resolution of 2560×1600 via Dual Link DVI with HDCP and 1920×1080 via HDMI 1.3. It offers up to 4.64 TeraFLOPS processing power, 1.45 billion polygons/sec polygon throughput, 256.0 GB/sec memory bandwidth and support for ATI CrossFireX.
