We just got word from a resident of Rumorland that Amazon could be announcing a new version of the Kindle that will be bigger and carry a much better and larger display.

According to what we have been hearing is that the new Kindle was designed to display Newspapers and Magazine thus needing a larger display. It is said that we should seeing the release of the Big Screen Kindle really soon, as soon as this week with new companies being involved in the introduction, companies such as the New York Times.

The only thing I am wondering if that hideous image above that I got from Boing Boing is really the new Kindle of just something that someone with photoshop skills came up with.
