Micron has introduced its new P410m Enterprise SAS Solid State Drive which is targeted at data center appliances and enterprise storage platforms.
The new Solid State Drive series provides consistent low latency and balanced read/write performance to tackle the workloads of mission-critical tier 1 storage applications that require uninterrupted, 24/7 data access.
The P410m was built for the enterprise market, and will achieve 10 drive fills per day for five years and includes multiple data protection features, including onboard power loss protection. The drive will provides up to 410MB/s read and 345MB/s write speeds.
The P410m uses 6Gbps SAS interface with support for dual-port architectures and comes in 2.5-inch 7mm form factor. Based on 25nm MLC NAND flash technology, the drive is available in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities.
