Sony is now discontinuing the beloved PlayStation 2 console on some markets but they are making up for it with the PlayStation 3 by offering gamers more options as far as colors may concern. If the current console line up is a little too monochrome for you, the company just announced that two colorful options is about to arrive in Japan starting next month.
Japanese gamers will now be able to match the decor of their living room with the PlayStation 3 in “garnet red” and “azurite blue.” Sony say that the colorful options will only be available in a limited amount, they will come packing a 250GB Hard Drive and priced at ¥24,980 (about $279) starting on February 28th.
According to the guys over at Engadget, the new colors appeared in Europe over the weekend, they also boast a 500GB hard drive and goes for the price of €330 (about $440). There are no details if we on the westside of the globe will be getting any taste of these colorful options.
