In addition to the Child Pad and Kids Designer II, a company called Gajah also just launched a Child-friendly tablet for learning purposes. The Singapore-based company announced the child-friendly Android tablet that comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS right out the box.
The Gajah Child Tablet is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor, it has 512MB of RAM, up to 32GB of storage and a rugged exterior from protection against accidental drops as would expected if it is being used by Children. In addition to the Android 4.0 OS, they also added a simplified user interface which features colorful wallpapers and large easy-to-use icons to provide easy navigation for kids.
The new Gajah kid-friendly tablet was spotted at Computex this week by CNET. Gajah probably won’t offer the tablet under its own brand name anytime soon is seeking partners to rebrand and sell the design internationally.
