Genius just announced the world’s first 120-degrees ultra wide angle 1080p HD webcam called the WideCam F100. This new webcam has the ability to capture a whole boardroom or an entire family in a single frame. According to Genius, the device is ideal for both office and home use.
The WideCam features a manual focus lens which ensures that the user on the other end gets a well-defined video of the entire room. It also has a built-in sensitive microphone that reduces distortion and allows everyone in the room to be heard clearly. WideCam F100 comes with a universal clip which enables the user to clip the device onto any size monitor, it comes with a USB extension cable which stretches up to 10 feet from the computer plus the base of the device rotates to a full 360 degrees allowing for complete control and versatility whether at home or at the office.
The WideCam F100 can be used to record HD 1080p video and can also capture 12-Megapixel photos which can be then transferred to the YouTube, Twitter or Flickr account of the user. The cam comes bundled with Arcsoft Webcam Companion 4, a webcam software that allows the user to record videos, take snapshots and edit them easily. The new WideCam F100 is already available in the US and Canada for the suggested retail price of $59.99.
