Asus just announced its new SBW-06C2X-U 3D Blu-ray Writer. The new Blu-ray writer supports BDXL, 6x Blu-ray writes, Blu-ray 3D playback, 5.1 channel Dolby EX, DTS-HD and 2D-to-3D conversions. Other than its ability to burn multi format Blu-ray, the SBW-06C2X-U also has the ability to upscale a DVD quality video to a 1080p HD video.
The Asus SBW-06C2X-U is compatible with both Mac and Windows Operating systems and it should be available soon. There has been no official word on pricing or its exact availability date.
