In the next couple of months the 2013 Chrysler Dodge Dart will be available at dealerships all over the country and this new car is the first of its kinds to come equipped with the feature that has tech enthusiasts raving. Not only in the 2013 Dodge Dart but future vehicles of the Chrysler Group will come with wireless smartphone charging as an extra feature.
The vehicles will come equipped with a wireless charging bin that enables the owner to charger smartphones on a wireless charging mat located under the center stack. Once the owner starts the vehicle, mobile phones on the charging mats will commence charging.
As usual wireless charging requires an extra smartphone case for the device to work and according to Chrysler, cases will be “specifically designed for a variety of smartphones”. The wireless charging bin which was designed by Mopar, Chrysler’s parts and service division, is available now for $199.99 plus installation, the 2013 Dodge Dart on the other hand will cost $15,995 to own.
