Sony plans to start shipping the new BDP-S790 Blu-ray Player, one of the company’s newest Blu-ray player that comes equipped with WiFi connectivity. Thanks to its WiFi connectivity, the player gives access to Sony’s Entertainment Network for online media streaming, including UltraViolet streaming services powered by VUDU, Netflix, Pandora and more.
The Sony BDP-S790 supports DLNA for wireless media streaming from compatible devices such as Smartphones and computers, it supports 4K upscaling for enhance playback quality of HD and SD sources, it is powered by a dual-core processor which delivers faster response and enhanced performance compared to conventional Blu-ray players.
It comes with a USB port on the front for direct playback of videos stored on an external storage device plus it also supports the playback of Blu-ray Discs, DVD and CD. The BDP-S790 Blu-ray Player is also compatible with HomeShare Network Speaker, and Media Remote iOS/Android app, it is now available and will cost you $249 to own.
