Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy Tab 2, the 10.1 variant which comes as apart of Samsung’s first line-up of tablets for 2012. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will be available in two versions; there will be a 7-inch model and the 10.1-inch model now being introduced in this post.
The 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 comes equipped with a WXGA 1280×800 LCD touchscreen display and the 10.1 variant will also be available in a 3G version as well as a WiFi version. The Galaxy Tab 2 was unveiled at the on-going that starts off February 27 until March 1st. Other specifications includes a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, there’s a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera that supports full HD video recordings at 30fps and a front-facing VGA for video calls.
The Tab 2 10.1-inch tablet comes with a wide range of Samsung features such as the Samsung TouchWiz interface, Samsung Hub with Music Hub, Video Hub and Game Hub and Samsung’s AllShare Play feature. The 10.1 Tab 2 comes with a 7000mAh battery, has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, comes with the option of 16GB or 32GB on-board storage plus either can be expanded using its microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB capacity. Samsung will start selling the 10.1-inch tablet in March with the UK consumers being the first but if you wish to know more then its on display at the MWC 2012.
