Sony has just announced of its plans to release a 15.5-inch version of its VAIO S Series which is expected to be released this October. The new member to the VAIO S Family will get a 15.5-inch Full HD Display with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution and LED-backlit. It will feature a body that was constructed using magnesium and aluminum and it will be based on Intel’s Huron River mobile platform.
Other specifications that are expected from the 15.5-inch VAIO S Laptop includes an Intel Core i7 Processor from the Sandy Bridge Series of Processors, it will feature up to 1TB of storage capacity using both Hard Drive and Solid State Drive, either an integrated Intel HD 3000 or discrete Radeon HD 6630 1GB graphics card, a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, there will be an integrated HD webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth and Intel’s Wireless Display 2.1 technology. It is expected to surface sometime in October and should come in the colors of Jet Black and Platinum Silver for the price of $1000.
