OCZ Technology has officially announced its new RevoDrive Hybrid PCIe Hard Drive and SSD Combo which it first showcased back in early June at the Computex 2011 Show. The RevoDrive Hybrid PCIe solution combines a PCIe solid state drive with a 2.5-inch hard drive and it should be available soon for the price of $500.
For those consumers who think that getting a PCIe drive for $500 isn’t worth it, first you should know that it comes with 100GB of flash storage and a 1TB hard drive. It also has the ability to deliver transfer speeds of up to 910MB/s and a 4k random write performance of up to 120,000 IOPS. It comes with a three-year warranty but no pricing information was found for the new OCZ RevoDrive Hybrid PCIe Hard Drive and SSD Combo.
