Motorola just expanded its wireless line with the VAP2400 wireless video bridge solution, it is a wireless access device that comes with the capability to transmit video content such as HD quality over a WiFi home network, the bridge is also extremely reliable and operates on its own Frequency Band (4.900-5.850 GHz) to allow better separation between Data and Video applications. There is no issue when it comes to obstacles including walls, doors or other physical structures.
The VAP2400 includes Auto-mode detection, WPA2/WPA/AES/WEP-128/WEP-64 security, WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) and also offers support for TR-069 Remote management and HTTP-based GUI management. Motorola Mobility is planning to launch the VAP2400 Wireless Video Bridge on the market during Q3 of 2011, no pricing information was found on the device.
